Flexible Working - Who Benefits?
Event date: Thursday April 30th 2009
The issue of flexible working has moved up the agenda, with many organisations finding it hard to justify the high costs of city based offices that are not fully utilised. Current technology now enables secure and fast access to corporate systems and legislation is moving rapidly to broaden and protect the rights of workers to improve their work/life balance.
However, there are also significant cultural and (internal) political issues to be considered. How can performance or productivity be measured? Are those that need to commute jealous of those who appear to be enjoying an easier or better life? How do remote workers continue to feel that they are part of the broader enterprise? How are health and safety issues handled in a remote environment?
At this BritishAmerican Business briefing organised by the ICE and HR & Employment Forums, our panel of expert speakers will address these, and related issues.
