The UK’s EU target is to produce 15% of our energy needs from renewables by 2020, and to achieve this there will have to be a significant investment in the new technologies. But with the project – financing outlook difficult for the remainder of 2009, and no certainty beyond that, our expert panel at this BritishAmerican Business Energy Forum breakfast briefing will discuss the current status of the renewables sector with particular focus on the Marine and Wind sectors, and look to the medium term and the prospects of the UK achieving its 2020 target.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Duncan Ayling, Head of Offshore Renewables, British Wind Energy Association (BWEA)
  • Laura Carse, Project Developer, Ocean Power Technologies
