Transatlantic Business Awards Dinner

BritishAmerican Business’s Transatlantic Business Awards Dinner in New York is the premier gala event of the transatlantic business calendar, and regularly attracts an audience of more than 500 senior business executives from both sides of the Atlantic.

Each year at this Dinner, BritishAmerican Business presents its Transatlantic Business Awards to the leaders of two major multinational companies for their leadership in transatlantic business, and Special Awards to other distinguished business leaders for their achievements in particular fields.

BritishAmerican Business presented its Transatlantic Business Awards for 2009 to Thomas H. Glocer, Chief Executive Officer, Thomson Reuters, and Peter Sands, Group Chief Executive, Standard Chartered PLC, in recognition of their outstanding business leadership, on November 3, 2009, at the Pierre Hotel.

We also presented Special Awards to Daniel Glaser, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Marsh Inc., for the outstanding leadership role he has played at BritishAmerican Business, as well as in the business community at large; and to Wilbur L. Ross, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, WL Ross & Co. LLC, for his entrepreneurial achievements. 

Past honorees include: George David (United Technologies); Lou Gerstner (IBM); Stephen Green (HSBC); Jeff Immelt (GE); AG Lafley (Procter & Gamble Co); Sir Martin Sorrell (WPP Group); Peter Sutherland KCMG (BP and Goldman Sachs); Ratan Tata (Tata Group); and Rex W Tillerson (Exxon Mobil).
