The Accountancy Forum will be addressing the following issues: financial
reporting, SME accounting and reporting, governance in reporting, narrative
reporting, professionalism and ethics and research. The focus will be on the
benefits and costs of convergence and simplification in the progress towards
global accounting standards. The aim will be to assess the practical
implications of the convergence agenda for UK and US businesses and to
communicate a users’ viewpoint to the regulatory and standard setting
agencies.
The Accountancy Forum planning committee will be meeting on a quarterly
basis.
