The East-West Trade and Investment Forum has been renamed the EMEA
Forum. It examines business opportunities and risks in the areas of
Central Europe, Russia, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa.
The Forum holds regular breakfast briefings and seminars on key
topics such as the risk of doing business in these regions, the
influence of politics on business development, security and how to
mitigate these risks. The Forum partners with other forums in
BritishAmerican Business to hold events with a more sector specific
focus. For instance, together with the Energy Forum to discuss
whether transparency is a factor in investment in the Middle East
and Africa; with the Life Sciences and Healthcare Forum on Central
Europe; with the ICE Forum on UK/US investment in BRIC countries.
Other events to look forward to include an event in conjunction
with EBRD to discuss Vladimir Putin's track record and challenges
for the new president.
