Welsh Development Agency: Four Welsh nominations at the Classical Brit Awards

Of the 29 nominated artistes for the coveted Classical Brit Awards this year, four are from Wales, proving once again that Wales is truly a “Land of Song”

Bryn Terfel is nominated as “Male Artist of the Year” and Catrin Finch, Harpist to HRH the Prince of Wales is nominated for “Young British Classical Performer” There are two Welsh nominations in the “National Savings and Investments Album of the Year” namely Bryn Terfel for “Bryn” (Deutsche Grammaphon) and Aled Jones for “Higher” (UCJ/Universal).

The award ceremony takes place on Wednesday May 26 at the Royal Albert Hall, London.
