Year of Economic Uncertainty Worldwide Sparks Slew of New Issues and Challenges

New York, NY, September 17, 2002 – Some of the world’s leading experts on the global economy gathered in New York on September 17, 2002, to discuss the unique challenges and issues U.S. and European companies will face as a result of dramatic economic changes in the past year. The seminar, Business Outlook in Europe – A Year Later, is hosted by BritishAmerican Business Inc. (BritishAmerican Business), the world’s premier transatlantic business organization.

The international panel of experts in global business and finance includes: Brian Martin, Head of International Economics at Barclays Capital; Vicky Pryce, Chief Economic Advisor at the Department of Trade and Industry (UK); Lionel Barber, U.S. Managing Editor of the Financial Times; and Alexander Hungate, Chief Marketing Officer & President, Focus Group Accounts at Reuters Group.

“Businesses need to plan for the post-9/11 economic realities, including the new economic and political uncertainties, and the enlargement of the EU and impact of the euro,” said Richard Fursland, Chief Executive of BritishAmerican Business. “The panel we have assembled for the Business Outlook in Europe – A Year Later seminar are all leading experts on these issues.”
