BritishAmerican Business Inc Presents “Flight Path to Prosperity” –
Aviation Conference
London: The future of transatlantic civil aviation was the topic at a
conference today hosted by BritishAmerican Business Inc (BritishAmerican Business), the
leading transatlantic business organisation. The conference: “Flight Path
to Prosperity: Improving the Economic Position of Airlines”, organised by
BritishAmerican Business’s Air Transport sub-Forum, was held at the US Embassy in London.
Top-level speakers from the UK, US and EU governments outlined their
roles and initiatives in fostering prosperity in the industry took
questions from attendees. Also present was a panel of industry
representatives and independent analysts who debated the options for
government and industry.
The participants included: the Rt Hon John Spellar, MP, Minister for
Transport; Paul Gretch, Director of International Aviation at the US
Department of Transportation; and Michel Ayral, Director of Air Transport
at the European Commission. The moderator for the conference was Philip
Butterworth-Hayes, founding editor of Jane’s World Airlines and Jane’s
Airport Review.
