CB Richard Ellis Arranges 10,000-Sq.-Ft. Lease for Harmony & Friendship Web TV at 885 Second Avenue
New York, NY — August 5, 2010 — CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) announced today that it has arranged a 15-year, 10,481-sq.-ft. lease on behalf of Harmony & Friendship Web TV on the 48th floor at 885 Second Avenue, across from the United Nations. CBRE's Roshan Shah and Arkady Smolyanksy represented the tenant in the transaction. The landlord, Ruben Companies, was represented in-house.
"One of Harmony & Friendship Web TV's primary goals is to increase public support for United Nations initiatives," said Mr. Shah. "As a result, the organization sought to be near the U.N., making this high-end space mere blocks away at 885 Second Avenue a perfect fit."
Built in 1973 and owned by Ruben Companies, the 50-story, 815,000-sq.-ft. 885 Second Avenue, also known as One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, is home to such tenants Telerep Inc., the Interpublic Group of Companies, the Population Council and the United Nations Pension Fund.
