Virtual Leadership Forum with Frank Brown, Advisory Director, General Atlantic

BritishAmerican Business invites our Leadership Forum Delegates to join us for the closing session of the 2021-22 Leadership Forum. On June 15, 11:00 am – 12:00 am EDT / 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm BST via Zoom, we will welcome BAB’s International Advisory Board Member, and the 2022 Honoree and recipient of the US Transatlantic Business Award, Frank Brown, Advisory Director, General Atlantic. Before joining General Atlantic’s executive team, Frank served as the Dean of INSEAD where he joined after 3 decades at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he led the $3.5 billion Advisory Service Practice.  After his remarks, the discussion will open around the table.

 

Launched in 2016, the Leadership Forum is a program series aimed to cultivate a select group of emerging C-Suite leaders. During the yearlong program, which consists of in-person events, the delegates learn firsthand from sitting CEOs and other prominent industry leaders in BAB’s network, participate in workshops, share real-time challenges, and develop invaluable connections with peers. Participants in the Leadership Forum are specially nominated from BAB’s membership of multinational companies, and are recognized as a rising leader and distinguished contributor to their company.

Meet the Speaker

Frank Brown is an Advisory Director at General Atlantic. Until 2022, Frank led the firm’s global risk management program as Chief Risk Officer, and also served as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer for nine years.

 

Before joining General Atlantic in 2011, Frank served as Dean of INSEAD, a leading international business school, from 2006 to 2011. Under his leadership, the school increased participation of female students in the M.B.A. program by more than 50%, and established the Abu Dhabi campus, the Blue Ocean Strategy Institute, and the Social Innovation Centre.

 

Prior to INSEAD, Frank had a distinguished 26-year career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, including leading its $3.5 billion Advisory Services practice. Frank is the author of The Global Business Leader: Practical Advice for Success in a Transcultural Marketplace and is a frequent speaker on leadership topics.

 

Frank serves as a Board Member and the Audit Committee Chairman of The Home Depot. He is also active within different communities, both personal and professional; Frank is a Board Member on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a Trustee with Asia Society, a Member of the International Advisory Board of British American Business, and is President of the Board of Trustees for The Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

 

Frank graduated from Bucknell University with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting, and later from Wharton’s Advanced Management Program.
