The STIR: International Women's Day - Embrace Equity

In Celebration of International Women’s Day, we answer the call to embrace equity. To go beyond the fundamental tenant of ensuring people feel a sense of belonging in a diverse setting, and to pull at the thread of equal access to opportunities in order to break institutional biases.
Gender Equity in the workplace is not only the right thing, but will pay dividends on your bottom line. According to the McKinsey & Company’s Global Institute report, narrowing the gender gap could add $12 to $28 trillion to the global GDP. While we made many strides in the fight for gender equality, the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report 2020 noted that we will not see global gender equality for another 100 years and reinforces the finding that gender parity can have a large impact on whether a society will thrive.

Our panel of experts will discuss major areas of focus that corporations should focus on in achieving gender equity: equal pay, equal representation in management and on boards, equal access to career development opportunities and need for more inclusive benefits.
