In response to today’s ruling by the US Supreme Court regarding the use of emergency powers to invoke reciprocal and country-specific tariffs, BritishAmerican Business (BAB) CEO Duncan Edwards said:

“BAB has taken note of today’s decision by the Supreme Court and is closely monitoring its implications on behalf of our members.

“It is essential that this ruling does not undermine the positive momentum in the US-UK economic relationship. We encourage policymakers to continue advancing constructive dialogue and to prioritize tariff reductions between the United Kingdom and the United States as part of a forward-looking trade agenda, a key priority of our 2026 Policy Agenda.

We will organize a briefing call for members and friends of BAB for next week.”
