Statement from BritishAmerican Business CEO Duncan Edwards OBE
“On behalf of BritishAmerican Business, I congratulate Sir Christian Turner KCMG on his appointment as the British Ambassador to the United States. We warmly welcome him to Washington DC and look forward to working closely with him at this crucial moment for the transatlantic relationship.
“As businesses on both sides of the Atlantic navigate uncertainty around trade policy, tariffs, taxation, regulation, and investment decisions, BAB has set out its 2026 Policy Agenda, focused on delivering practical, pro-growth priorities that improve predictability and strengthen the investment environment. We look forward to working with the Ambassador and his team to help achieve these objectives and to support greater cooperation across the US – UK economic corridor.
“We also look forward to supporting both governments in delivering the Economic Prosperity Deal, and we hope to see work resume on the Technology Prosperity Deal, which contains many of the highest-value, future-facing opportunities for both countries.”
