London/New York – Today, US President Joe Biden will meet UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and King Charles ahead of a NATO Summit later this week. The meeting follows a visit to the United States by Prime Minister Sunak in June in which the Atlantic Declaration between the USA and UK was announced, bringing together a number of initiatives that will enhance the economic relationship between the two countries.

On the occasion, BritishAmerican Business’ Chief Policy & Trade Officer, Emanuel Adam, said: “We are pleased that the President has taken the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister and King Charles ahead of the NATO summit later this week. We welcome that this meeting will focus, among others, on how the UK and US can lead global efforts in the transition to the Net Zero economy; a topic very close to the heart of British and American businesses.

“We also expect for the meeting to provide further momentum around the Atlantic Declaration agreed between both leaders last month.  The implementation of this Declaration will be an important part in the economic integration between both sides of the Atlantic and set a new benchmark globally. “As the primary body representing British and American businesses, we are ready and committed to supporting both governments as they turn the intentions set out in the Declaration into proper action.”
