BritishAmerican Business Welcomes UK Government's Modern Industrial Strategy

BritishAmerican Business (BAB) welcomes the publication of the UK Government’s Modern Industrial Strategy. We hope this will deliver the type of comprehensive framework our transatlantic membership has consistently advocated for.
BAB has been a contributor to the government’s consultation process, and we are pleased to see that many of the priorities highlighted by our members have been taken into account. These include a significant reduction in energy costs for thousands of UK businesses; strengthened cross-departmental coordination; new statutory obligations for regulators to support the UK’s growth agenda; and a Business Growth Service to streamline business engagement.
This new Modern Industrial Strategy has the potential to strengthen the UK’s competitiveness, unlock investment, and support the sectors that will drive the country’s growth in the years ahead.
BAB looks forward to studying the strategy in greater detail and to working with government to support its implementation in the coming months.
