BritishAmerican Business Welcomes UK-Texas Trade Pact

BritishAmerican Business CEO Duncan Edwards said a trade pact with Texas is the most significant-to-date.

“A deal with Texas, the 9th largest economy in the world and the second-largest in the US, is a huge win for business.

“Texas is a diverse economy with a great deal of opportunities across a number of sectors including energy, technology, life sciences and professional services.

“From the outset of the state-level MoU scheme, it has been BAB’s strong view that priority should be given to those states which offer the most opportunity and Texas certainly falls into this category.

“BAB would much rather see a handful of agreements which are adequately resourced with larger states like Texas and Florida, than dozens of agreements with smaller states that lack the required focus.”
