Delta Air Lines was named Best Long-Haul Airline at the 25th annual Business Travel Awards, retaining one of the U.K.’s most prestigious travel awards for a second straight year.

The Business Travel Awards are judged by a panel of senior industry experts, who commended Delta for our “product upgrades and fuel efficiency programme, outstanding performance record and its focus on environmental issues and people.” They also praised Delta’s diversity and women in leadership programs, as well as our commitment to working with other companies that embrace Corporate Social Responsibility.

“I’m so proud to accept this award on behalf of Delta for a second year,” said Nadia Clinton, Regional Sales Manager, U.K. and Ireland. “Our investment over the last 12 months, not just in products and services but in sustainability initiatives and the communities we serve, continues to be valued by the industry and our customers.”

The award kicks off an exciting year ahead for Delta in the U.K. The airline will return to London-Gatwick and Manchester Airports this summer with new flights to Boston. Meanwhile, customers continue to enjoy greater trans-Atlantic comfort thanks to the refurbished B767-400 and popular A330 aircraft on more London-Heathrow routes.

In addition to winning Best Long-Haul Airline, Delta was a finalist in two other categories: Best Business Airline and Best CSR Programme.
