Emily is the Head of Energy Research at Standard Chartered, based in London. She has a focus on crude oil, refined products and natural gas analysis, energy politics and strategy. She has a particular interest in applying machine-learning techniques to commodity price forecasting. Prior to joining Standard Chartered in 2017 she was an award-winning equity analyst and was named the Extel Leading Research Individual UK (small- and mid-caps) in 2013 and 2015, and Leading Sellside Investment Analyst UK (small- and mid-cap oil and gas) in 2013, 2014 and 2015. She holds a Master’s degree in Palaeobiology from University College London and studied Geology at Imperial College London.
