Meet the Speaker:
Mary Springer Sforza
Senior Vice President, Government Relations, Rolls-Royce North America Inc.
With over 25 years of experience working in and with the United States Congress, Mary is a strategic and energetic leader with extensive knowledge of legislative, advocacy, policy, and political issues and processes.
Currently the Senior Vice President of Government Relations at Rolls-Royce North America, Mary is the chief corporate representative to the U.S. Congress and the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government, which includes the Department of Defense. She leads a team focused on strengthening Rolls-Royce’s relationships within the U.S. Government and the aerospace and defense industry, as well as executing on key strategic corporate priorities.
Previously, Mary was Director of Legislative Affairs for Lockheed Martin, where she served as a liaison to Capitol Hill, educating Members of Congress and staff and advocating for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and Sikorsky priority programs. In this role she received numerous awards and recognition for her leadership and for producing results. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Mary was Director, Legislative Affairs for DRS Technologies. She also served in various positions on Capitol Hill for 14 years, the last six years of which she was Chief of Staff to Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01).
Mary has a Bachelor’s degree from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, a Masters in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and a Master of Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Mary was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, and currently resides in Northern Virginia with her husband, two young sons, and their Cockapoo, Ellie.
