Joe Crome
Head of Business Development and CAF American Donor Fund
Joe Crome works with wealth managers, family offices and professional advisers to provide world-class philanthropy services to clients and their families, often with a focus on donor advised funds, gifts of complex assets, and international donations.
He has two roles at CAF. As Head of Business Development, he is responsible for leading the growth of CAF’s giving and impact services, working closely with private client advisers to raise the profile and understanding of philanthropy to ensure their clients are better supported.
As Head of the CAF American Donor Fund, a market leading Donor Advised Fund for dual US/UK taxpayers, managing over £100 million in charitable donations annually.
Joe holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation – the first adviser working in the UK to do so – and also holds the ICA Advanced International Anti money laundering certificate.
His expertise include charitable grantmaking regulations in the UK and US, donating complex assets, philanthropy advice for individuals and families, and anti-money laundering and related due diligence pertaining to charitable donations.
Joe has dedicated his entire career to the charitable sector, working in fundraising, philanthropy, grantmaking and for a number of years led charities which directly supported young people.
He strongly believes in working for organisations that help to create change and is committed to using his skills and experience to make a positive difference.
