Michael Hartt is a Partner and Head of International Affairs at FleishmanHillard, where he counsels corporations, foundations, and governments on communications and public affairs related to geopolitical, economic, and societal issues. From economic development and investment, to climate change, to humanitarian crises, to defence and security, he leads campaigns to help organisations solve complex issues and build their reputation in the UK, across Europe and around the world through media engagement, stakeholder outreach and digital advocacy. His background includes work related to emerging democracies, protecting independent media, and a successful campaign to secure freedom for a political prisoner in Iran. A dual UK-U.S. national, Michael previously lived in Washington, D.C., for a decade, where he advised clients on a range of trans-Atlantic matters, including international trade disputes and initiatives to strengthen collaboration between young leaders in the UK, Europe and North America.
