Meet the Speaker: Rachel Shatliff, Managing Director Business Banking North Region, HSBC

Rachel has extensive financial services experience, having worked for HSBC Bank plc for over 30 years. She joined HSBC on the Graduate Programme and has since worked across Large Corporate, International, Real Estate, Commercial and Retail segments, in coverage and leadership roles, in addition to roles in Operations, Credit and Operational Risk, across UK and Europe.
More recently, Rachel has been appointed the Managing Director Business Banking North Region, responsible for a team of Relationship Managers supporting the needs of c6500 SMEs across the North of England, in addition to leading on the International strategy for UK Business Banking.

Rachel sits on the HSBC UK Disability Steerco, and has led on a Down’s Syndrome employment programme for the bank, together with a number of other DEI initiatives. Outside the bank she is the chair of a Down’s Syndrome Support charity, Board member for British American Business and named a Northern Power Woman since 2017. She is married with 3 children with whom she enjoys supporting Manchester City FC and also sings semi-professionally in her “spare” time.
