Rustum is the Legal Director, Americas & UK at BT. His team, which is spread across the UK and the Americas, is responsible for legal, regulatory and compliance support across the Americas as well as customer bids and disputes in the UK. He started his legal career at 3 Pump Court in the Temple, qualifying as a barrister, before moving to BCLP in the City of London and then on to BT as a commercial lawyer. At BT he has done a variety of roles since joining in 2009, including two years outside of legal as a commercial director running one of BT’s largest supply contracts and as commercial & marketing director at Tikit, the legal tech company that BT sold in 2020.
