Tony Balloon is the co-chair of the Global Services Committee, which oversees the international practice of Alston & Bird. Previously, Tony work and resided for extended periods of time in Beijing, China and Brussels, Belgium.

Tony clerked for the Hon. Frank M. Hull of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He received his J.D., with high honors, from the Emory University School of Law and his B.S., with honors, from the University of Florida’s Fisher School of Accounting.

Marc Brookman joined Schroders in July of 2018 and is the CEO of North America. In this role, Marc will be responsible for directing the management and strategy of the company’s overall business in North America. Marc was previously Deputy CEO and was responsible for the oversight and direction of the distribution, product and marketing functions.
Marc previously was with Morgan Stanley where he was Managing Director and Head of Institutional Wealth Services. In this role, with over 30 years of industry experience, Marc had overall responsibility for Graystone Consulting and the Institutional Advisory businesses, including Corporate Retirement, Corporate Cash, Public Funds, Defined Contribution, Financial Wellness and all distribution and relationship management.
Prior to this role, Marc ran Morgan Stanley’s Consulting Group Distribution and was responsible for over $800 billion in assets under management. Additionally, he oversaw all of the Firm’s Advisory Products and was responsible for Program Development and Management.
Previous experiences in asset management include leadership roles at Citigroup Asset Management, New York Life Investment Management and Oppenheimer Capital across Institutional, Retail, Retirement, and Distribution.
In addition to his responsibilities at Morgan Stanley, Marc has currently served as Vice Chairman of the Board for James Madison University School of Business and has held multiple leadership roles for the Money Management Institute.

He was a Non-Executive Director of JLT Group plc from 2016 to 2017, prior to which he was Non-Executive Chairman of Aon UK Ltd from 2012 to 2015, Senior Independent Director of Catlin Group Ltd from 2010 to 2014 and Chief Executive for Marsh UK and Europe from 2003 to 2006. He was Chairman of Moneysupermarket Group from 2014 to 2019 and Senior Independent Director of Close Brothers Group plc from 2006 to 2014 and is a Past President of the Chartered Management Institute.
He previously worked at JP Morgan for 18 years in a number of senior roles and was Managing Partner of 3i Group plc’s Quoted Private Equity Division from 2007 to 2009.

Cheyenne Hopkins provides public affairs communications solutions for financial services clients. Ms. Hopkins focuses on multi-stakeholder communication campaigns related to regulatory matters, crisis response, media relations and litigation communications. With nearly two decades of experience, she has led financial communications campaigns, media relations and public affairs strategy for various financial services firms.
Ms. Hopkins has led public affairs strategies for large banks and advised various financial firms facing public affairs and crisis situations.
Prior to FTI Consulting, Ms. Hopkins served as a Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Strategy for the Bank Policy Institute, an industry trade group representing the 40 leading banks. She was a Senior Vice President of Financial Services Policy and Capital Markets at Edelman, where she developed communications plans for various clients ranging from large banks, housing finance, insurance, fintech firms, hedge funds, private equity, and regulatory agencies.
Ms. Hopkins spent over a decade as a reporter covering financial services for top tier media outlets, including Bloomberg, American Banker and Reuters. She was a Treasury Department and regulatory reporter during the 2008 financial crisis.

Michael J. Hsu is the Acting Comptroller of the Currency.
Mr. Hsu became Acting Comptroller of the Currency on May 10, 2021, upon his designation as First Deputy Comptroller by Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen pursuant to her authority under 12 USC 4.
As Acting Comptroller of the Currency, Mr. Hsu is the administrator of the federal banking system and chief executive officer of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The OCC ensures that the federal banking system operates in a safe and sound manner, provides fair access to financial services, treats customers fairly, and complies with applicable laws and regulations. It supervises nearly 1,200 national banks, federal savings associations, and federal branches and agencies of foreign banks that serve consumers, businesses, and communities across the United States and conducts approximately 70 percent of banking activity in the country. These banks range from community banks serving local neighborhood needs to the nation’s largest most internationally active banks.
The Comptroller also serves as a Director of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and a member of the Financial Stability Oversight Council and the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council.
Prior to joining the OCC, Mr. Hsu served as an Associate Director in the Division of Supervision and Regulation at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. In that role, he chaired the Large Institution Supervision Coordinating Committee Operating Committee, which has responsibility for supervising the global systemically important banking companies operating in the United States. He co-chaired the Federal Reserve’s Systemic Risk Integration Forum, served as a member of the Basel Committee Risk and Vulnerabilities Group, and co-sponsored forums promoting interagency coordination with foreign and domestic financial regulatory agencies.
His career has included serving as a Financial Sector Expert at the International Monetary Fund, Financial Economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury helping to establish the Troubled Assets Relief Program, and Financial Economist at the Securities and Exchange Commission overseeing the largest securities firms.
Mr. Hsu began his career in 2002 as a staff attorney in the Federal Reserve Board’s Legal Division. He holds of a bachelor of arts from Brown University, a master of science in finance from George Washington University, and juris doctor degree from New York University School of Law.

David Livingstone was appointed Chief Executive Officer for Citi Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in February 2019. In this role, he is responsible for Citi’s businesses throughout EMEA, where Citi maintains a physical presence in 55 countries and does business in 52 more.
David is a member of Citi’s Executive Management Team and reports to CEO Jane Fraser.
Prior to assuming his current position, David was Citi Country Officer for Australia and New Zealand from June 2016. In this role, he was responsible for Citi’s business in Australia and New Zealand, including developing and implementing the business strategy, fostering client relationships, managing risk and controls, and enhancing and protecting Citi’s reputation in the region. He was also a member of the Asia Pacific Executive Management Team.
David joined Citi from Credit Suisse, where he was Vice Chairman of the Investment Banking and Capital Markets Division for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region and a Board member of Credit Suisse International and Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited, the main operating entities of the group in Europe. He was also Head of the Mergers & Acquisitions business for that region. He was also Chief Executive Officer of Credit Suisse Australia, a role he held from 2010 to 2013.
David joined Credit Suisse in 2007 from HSBC where he was a Managing Director and Head of EMEA Investment Banking Advisory. Prior to that, he worked at Goldman Sachs for 16 years in a variety of senior roles, including Head of the European Industrials business, Head of Asia (ex-Japan) Mergers & Acquisitions, and Head of Australian Investment Banking.
He has extensive experience in corporate and investment banking (particularly in international mergers and acquisitions transactions, capital raisings and corporate restructurings), private banking, consumer banking, and general management.
David holds a B.A. Honours degree in economics from Macquarie University in Sydney and an M.A. in law from Jesus College, Cambridge.

Moynihan works with public officials, businesses and civic leaders at the local level through his participation on the Charlotte Executive Leadership Council (chair), the Massachusetts Competitive Partnership and the Partnership for Rhode Island.

Matthew is an economist specialising in financial markets. He holds a PhD in Finance from Cass Business School. After a spell at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, he joined the Financial Services Authority in 2006, just in time for the global financial crisis. There he worked on a wide variety of policy issues and eventually focused on bank regulation.
Since 2013 Matthew has worked in the Markets area, briefing on financial markets and designing monetary policy and liquidity insurance operations. He also manages a market intelligence team focusing on bank funding markets. While these days he spends most of his time on policy matters, he also maintains research interests in banks’ management of their capital ratios and money markets. He is an Associate Editor and a regular contributor to the Bank Underground blog.

Nicole Sandler leads on Innovation Policy at Barclays. She engages with regulators and policymakers globally for Barclays and focuses on the impact of Fintech related regulation and initiatives including DLT, cryptoassets and AI usecases. Further she advises on various sandbox and regulatory initiatives proposed by regulators and policymakers including the FCA, BoE, ECB, EC, SEC, CFTC, Fed, MAS and Japanese FSA.. In addition she represents Barclays in various regulatory and policy forums and industry groups.
For instance, Nicole is on the EC’s Expert Group on Regulatory Obstacles to Financial Innovation as the sole UK banking representative and only 1 of 3 bank representatives in Europe, she is on the EC’s Financial Services Advisory Group to the AI High Level Expert Group, the EBF Digital Strategy ExCo, is a member of the FMLC Technology Scoping Group at the BoE, the BoE and FCA’s Digital Regulatory Reporting Initiative, the JWG Global RegTech Council and also represented Barclays at the EDCAB cryptoasset and blockchain roundtables at the European Parliament. Nicole regularly speaks on panels and at conferences on innovation, diversity and leadership and has published articles including ‘The Internet of Things is a Moving Regulatory Landscape’, the FMLC paper on ‘DLT and governing law’ and the FMLC paper on ‘The legal uncertainties of virtual currencies’. She actively helped set up the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA) which consists of numerous policymakers and is on their Legal Committee.
In addition Nicole is an Advisory Board Member for Regtech Women an initiative that promotes Regtech and helps women network in this space and is also on the Regtech Awards board. Further she is Barclay’s nominee on the IIF’s Future Leader’s Class 2019. Lastly, Nicole is on the Lattice80 Top 100 Women in Fintech Global List 2018, the Innovate Finance Powerlist 2017 and 2018, was a finalist in the ‘Fintech Champion’ category at the Women in Finance Awards 2019 and the ‘Women in PayTech’ category at the 2019 PayTech Awards and was recently named The Most Influential Women in Fintech Regulation at the Wealth and Finance Awards 2019

Duncan Edwards is the chief executive of BritishAmerican Business, the leading transatlantic trade organization of some 450 companies, which has an ongoing mission to support policies which protect and enhance the environment for trade and investment in, and between, the USA and the UK. He is a regular contributor to policy debates and is a frequent media commentator on US UK relations.
Prior to this, Duncan Edwards spent over 30 years as a media executive in London and New York of which 27 years were spent at the Hearst Corporation. His most recent role at Hearst was President and CEO of the international magazine and digital media company, a business with activities in more than 60 countries which he led to record levels through acquisition and organic growth.
A British citizen, he currently lives in New York and Connecticut where he can often be found on long runs in the hills.
