Press Release: BritishAmerican Business Launches Second Across The Pond Trade Publication in the UK

On 15 May 2018, BritishAmerican Business will launch the second of its two Across The Pond trade publications in the UK, produced in collaboration with the British Embassy Washington. The publication features trade stories from 17 large, medium-sized and small UK companies from across many sectors that have an existing and exciting trade and investment success story to share. The launch event will be hosted by BAB members Barclays, at their global headquarters in Canary Wharf, London, and follows on from the successful US launch earlier this year on Capitol Hill, hosted by Antony Philipson, Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for North America.

Attended by over 150 representatives from the transatlantic business community, the event celebrates not only the launch of the publication itself, but also the ever-strengthening transatlantic business relationship between the UK and US.  The event will also be attended by the United States Ambassador to the Court of St James’, Robert Wood Johnson, and Minister of State for Trade Policy, the Rt Hon Greg Hands MP.

“The transatlantic business relationship continues to be a source of enduring strength and opportunity in times of global change,” said Duncan Edwards, CEO, BritishAmerican Business. “UK companies operating in the United States account for more than one million jobs that power economies from Detroit to Dallas, Maryland to Madison and Oakland to Oklahoma City.”

He added that “Across the Pond’ demonstrates the vital importance of this special business relationship that continues to link our two great countries, and BritishAmerican Business is delighted to play a part in telling this story.”
